Why This is Not a Bottomless Brunch Philly with Bottomless Mimosas
The party brunch at Rec & Royal is not a bottomless brunch Philly for compliance with Pennsylvania state laws. You may see other venues do advertise bottomless mimosas during brunch. However, to offer unlimited alcohol is not legal in Pennsylvania.

For additional purchases A CREDIT (not Debit) Card for Pre-Authorization
The pre-authorization amount is equal to the number of people in your party multiplied by the cost of the brunch package you choose plus taxes and fees. (Debit Cards are highly discouraged as your bank can hold the funds for up to 10 business days.
Every bank has a different policy regarding pre-authorizations but understand that those funds will not be available during that time and it is held by your bank, not ours.).

Rec & Royal is easily accessible by Uber, Lyft, taxi, Patco, Septa, and by car with a designated driver.

Drink Responsibly
There no award for being the drunkest person at brunch. Champagne is made to be sipped not chugged, especially mimosas! Drink responsibly and remember a good time doesn’t mean getting carried out by your friends and having a horrible hangover the next day.

Brunch Booking & Payment Process
Step 1: Figure out the number of people in your party
Find out how many friends you will have joining you for your Brunch Reservation. Since we have a limited number of seats available for brunch, we have no-refund policy.
Step 2: Pick the Date of your Reservation & Your Extras
Use our convenient online booking application to book your brunch experience. Our brunch experience is inclusive of all gratuities, taxes and fees. Only if you decide to purchase additional bottles, drinks, shots, or leave an additional gratuities would there be additional funds needed. Otherwise, all you need to bring with you is your appetite and smile 🙂
Step 3: Don’t be late!
Please make every effort to arrive on time.

Your corresponding non-refundable reservation will be forfeited.
If you are running late, we ask you to please call to let us know. If we don’t hear from you we will release your table at the times above.
Since Rec & Royal Party Brunch is a unique experience with very limited seating, we want to make sure that we give every group the opportunity to experience the party.
Think of Rec & Royal Brunch like tickets to a concert. We want to give everyone the chance to enjoy the experience.
Upon check-in, a credit card and a valid government-issued ID is required for the table reservation if you plan to order anything additional beyond the brunch package. Brunch reservations are subject to a 18% auto gratuity added to the final bill, an admin fee, online booking fee, and sales tax (10% Philadelphia County liquor tax for alcoholic beverages and 8% for food) will be applied to all table reservations.
Debit Cards are highly discouraged as your bank will hold these funds for up to ten (10) business days. Your bank will NOT allow you access these funds during the pre-authorization hold. Every bank has their own policy regarding pre-authorizations and Rec & Royal is not in control of your bank’s policies.
Sometimes, the pre-authorization and closed check will appear as two separate charges. That means that you will not have access to the funds from the closed check and the pre-authorization until your bank releases the pre-authorization hold.
It may look as if you have been charged twice but the bank releases the hold on the initial preauthorization within 10 business days. Again, we have no control over your bank’s hold time on pre-authorizations. Save yourself a headache and use a credit card!
Step 4: Make Friends & Dance
(MOST IMPORTANT)
Make friends with your neighbor and dance the day away. This isn’t grandma’s house! We encourage you to dance on our couches.
Step 5: Closing Out Your Bill
Since you already purchased your food and drink package, closing out is easy! However if you ordered additional items not included in your package, you are able to pay the following way:

- Pay cash
- Split your check up to 2 ways (Venmo or Cash App your friends!)

What is the dress code?
Does everyone need to be 21?
Yes, due to our lively brunch atmosphere with alcohol, everyone must be 21 with Valid State issued ID. By law, we cannot accept digital versions of your identification.
What is the cost to do the Rec & Royal Mimosa Package?
The Brunch Buffet and Mimosa Package costs $49 per person plus taxes, fees, and gratuity. The package includes 1 bottle of House champagne for every 2 people. Additional bottles are available for purchase.
Why is the champagne not bottomless like other places?
What time does the brunch party start?
On Saturday and Sunday, Rec & Royal brunch starts at 12pm. The brunch buffet ends at 1:30pm. Party starts at 1:30pm and ends at 4pm.
Does everyone have to do the Mimosa package to sit in the Party room?
What time does the brunch party end?
Typically the DJ plays until the party ends, usually around 4pm. The brunch buffet is available until 1:30pm.
What time does the DJ start?
There is always music to enjoy at Rec & Royal. We start brunch with vibey music that leads into a high energy live DJ that comes on after guests have had a chance to enjoy the brunch buffet at 1:30pm.

If your party size increases, we will do our best to accommodate your entire party, but cannot guarantee seating area or table size.
Any additional guests will be reflected your new party size if we are able to accommodate.
Does my entire party need to arrive at the same time?
No, the entire party does not have to show up at the same time, but the table will not be sat without the head of the party (person that paid for the reservation).
